The Quinta de Pacos has remained a property of the same family for more than 500 years and, at least 16 generations, maintaining a wine-making tradition in the region of Minho lasting for more than 5 centuries. The winery has received its first international award back in 1876 cementing itself in the history of Portuguese wine-making.
This wine is from grapes late harvested until they also almost entirely dehydrated like raisins with Botrytis. They are fermented in full contact with the grapes skin, giving it an orange colour aromas of rich apricots hint of sweet raisins and lychee’s on the palate with a touch of caramel on the finish.
