PHI Vista Flores, Exceptional Cuvée, Finca el Origen, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, 2009

SKU: ARG034

Variety:
79% Malbec, 11% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot

Tasting Notes:
The 2009 vintage is mainly Malbec, our emblematic variety, which provides violet and plum aromas, an amazing concentration, and rounded, soft, velvety tannins. The Cabernet Franc adds significant spice and complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon enhances the mouth fill, reaching a better structure and more complex aromas. And finally, the Petit Verdot adds more fruity notes, structure, lots of colour, and with its nice acidity, will improve the long finish of this wine. 18 month in oak barrels combines the 4 varieties as one, but the fruit will predominate over the oak. It is a complex and elegant wine, that express the best of each vintage.
