Dark red coat, nose of full ripe forward dark berry currant fruit and hints of chocolate. Very deep rich concentrated Merlot with a hint of sweetness. Good long lingering pleasing silky finish.

When the Delon family of Leoville Las Cases fame took over this property, great things were expected, and we have not been let down. The 75% Merlot based blend with 25% Cabernet France and the 18 months in oak, 30% of which is new produce a wine that is firm, full and chewy with masses of concentrated fruit. In the case of this 1995 it is jammy plum fruit with a sweet cherry fruit nose and a supple character.
